Boards grey unevenly, the surface under the busiest tables wears faster than the rest, and each season the sanding and re-treating takes a few more days than the last. At some point the upkeep costs more closed days than a replacement would. And that is what makes it a scheduling question before it is a material one: every day the terrace is shut is a day of seating you don’t sell. The usable window is the closed season — so the decision, the samples, the quantity and the delivery date want to be settled months before the first old board comes up.
That’s the part we take on. As a Swiss specialist dealer for WPC, we don’t only supply the boards: we look at the existing substructure with you, work out which board fits the way your terrace is actually used, calculate quantities and custom lengths for the surface, and place the delivery in the window you can work in. Water, a soft brush and a standard cleaning agent are enough for everyday soiling. Grease and wine are easiest removed while fresh. No oiling or sealing is needed. Cleaning tolerances — including whether a pressure washer may be used — differ from board to board, so ask us for the guidance for your specific board before the first deep clean.
